[ ] How long has it been trading, and roughly how many people work in it? [ ] How does work usually arrive - repeat clients, frameworks, tenders or referrals? (Types of client only; no names.) [ ] If you are comfortable sharing one, a broad sense of scale, such as a turnover band. It is fine to leave this until later. 2. [ ] Is there a timeframe in mind, or something driving the timing? [ ] What role, if any, would you like after a change, and for how long? [ ] Apart from the terms themselves, what matters most to you - the team, clients, the name, the way the business works? 3. DEPENDENCY AND CONTINUITY [ ] Which client relationships, approvals or decisions currently depend on you personally? [ ] Who else carries day-to-day responsibility - for example estimating, site management or accounts? (Roles only; no names needed.) [ ] What would clients and the team need to hear, and when, for a change to go smoothly? [ ] Is there anything that could affect timing - for example a major contract ending or a key person planning to retire? 4.
